Simple things indeed. But when David combined them one day 3000 years ago, they spelled the end of the towering Goliath and the beginning of a legend that would dominate our national conscience for millennia.

At LEGENDS DISTILLERY, we believe that some of the best things in life are simple. In the Ella Valley, a stone’s throw from that epic battle, we are combining these four simple elements to create our own legend, Israel’s first American - Style Whiskey, SLINGSHOT.

 

EARTH: Nurtured by some of the finest, nutrient-rich local soil, our grains are practically bursting with natural sugars, primed for the production of our exceptionally pure distillate. 

 

FIRE: We hand-select the finest American oak barrels available and expertly char them (and boy, do we char them!) in order to ensure that they impart the most robust, complex and satisfying character possible to our whiskey.

 

AIR: Our unique climate, characterized by hot, humid days and cooler, dryer nights, allows our distillate to travel in and out of the surrounding charred oak on a more rapid and consistent basis, resulting in a quicker and more efficient aging process.

 

WATER: Much like the vaunted streams and brooks of Kentucky, the birthplace of bourbon, we source our water from local aquifers which rest upon a limestone shelf that naturally removes iron and other impurities from the water, optimizing it for “bourbon” production.

 

AMERICAN TRADITION. ISRAELI INNOVATION.

 

As our logo implies, our spirit combines the best of both worlds - A mash bill patterned after a traditional colonial American recipe, with an emphasis on the smaller grains, which, when combined with expert aging, enables us to coax from each oak wine barrel the very best that Israel has to offer.
