The connection between Jewish culture and bourbon is deeply rooted in U.S. history. In the distilling business, the best known Jewish producers were the Bernheim Brothers who produced the I.W. Harper brand.

At Legends Distillery, we believe that there are many different aspects of whiskey-making that find much more meaning in Israel. Our planned location has rich limestone which naturally deionizes the water, has low iron content, and is therefore chemically suitable for bourbon production. We also plan on growing our own corn. This will make for high quality, Israeli-produced American-style whiskey.
